Microchipping

Microchipping your animal is very important. A microchip is a permanent electronic identification which holds a unique code for each animal. A microchip is the size of a grain of rice which is implanted under your pet's skin.

If a pet is ever lost and is handed in to a veterinary clinic or animal shelter, a microchip scanner is passed over the anmal to reveal and detect their unique code, which then we can contact you via the NSW Pet Registry Database, then allow owners to be reunited with their animal.

If you move address or change your contact details, make sure you update your pet’s entry on the pet registry.

If your pet is not microchipped, come in during our consultations times to have one inserted. If you have found a lost animal, come into our clinic, we will scan the animal and reunite microchipped pets with their owners.
