Dr. Carla Goldman

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVetBiol/BVetSc (Hons), BScAgr (Hons) )

Carla graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2012 with Honours. She then worked in mixed practice in country NSW before joining McGraths Hill Veterinary Centre in December 2013.

Carla enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine (small and large animal) and has a keen interest in behaviour, nutrition, surgery and sports medicine and rehabilitation. She is very passionate about her profession and regularly attends courses and seminars to stay up to date with the latest in the veterinary industry. Carla has done further education in behavioural medicine with Centre of Veterinary Education. In addition, she is a member of the Pet Professional Guild Australia (PPGA) and the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society.

She has five fur kids which include a Golder Retriever, Summer, a Labrador, Wattle, two Ragdoll cats (Poppy and Willow) and a tripod Maine Coon Maple. Carla's interests include; dog training and competing in dog sport including obedience, agility, retrieving and scent work, baking, sewing, reading, watching NRL and travelling.

Dr. Edward Humphries

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc (Hons) MRCVS (Lond))


Ted Humphries graduated from Sydney University in 1969. He has been involved in animal veterinary practice with both large from animals and domestic pets for over 50 years and still maintains a youthful enthusiasm for the work and can’t imagine any other career.

He keeps up to date with all the modern treatments and medicines from frequent conference attendances and continually reading many scientific journals to which he subscribes. Always willing to be helpful to everyone and welcomes any questions you may have about your animals.

Veterinarian (BVSc)


Lee graduated from Sydney University in 1981. She has practiced as a small animal veterinarian throughout her career. She keeps up to date with all modern treatments and medicine by continually attending seminars and reading many scientific articles.

Lee's interests include: sailing, skiing, rock climbing and reading.

Dr Olivia Phoon graduated from Sydney University in 2020. Olivia is still developing her special interests, but she enjoys  surgery and working up medical cases. She has a lovely cat named Jinx.

Dr Iveta Martinson graduated from Sydney University in 2020. She is interested in both small and large animals, particularly medicine. Her hobbies include horse riding and she owns a beautiful chestnut mare named Flicka.

Katie Gardener

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Qualified)

Katie completed Veterinary Nursing Certificate 4 in 2007 and joined MHVC in 2017. She enjoys emergency medicine as well as surgery and has a keen interest in wildlife.

Katie spends her spare time gardening, bushwalking and going to the river. She has 2 naughty cats named Dexter and Deafness (who is deaf) and a bearded dragon called Ivan.

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Qualified )


Jodie has completed her Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing and has a special interest in emergencies and surgical nursing.

Jodie spends her spare time with her pets, travelling and catching up with friends and family. She loves looking after patients and providing the best care possible.

Kerrie is a veterinary nurse with over 30 years experience. She is a wildlife carer and a member of Hawkesbury WIRES and has worked as a zookeeper.

Maddisyn Boyle

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate II & Certificate III Qualified)


Maddisyn is currently studying Certificate IV in veterinary nursing at TAFE. She grew up with lots of animals big and small, from horses to guinea pigs! Maddisyn has always been passionate about caring for animals and has always wanted to work in the veterinary industry. 

In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses and competing at shows. She also spends time looking after all of her fur-kids at home. When Maddisyn is not working she likes to spend quality time with her friends and family and enjoys travelling.

Kennel Hand


Amy is a new addition to our team and is intending to start her Certificate II in Animal Studies at the start of 2022. Amy grew up working with large farm animals, especially cattle. She has an interest with cattle and sees herself working on a farm later in life, specialising in large animals.

In her spare time she enjoys going to her farm out west, going out with friends and family and spending quality time with her pets.

Jenni Buck

Veterinary Nurse


Jenni is an experienced veterinary nurse who recently joined our team. Her bubbly and energetic personality brightens everyone's day. She loves house calls and learning about large animals. Goats and sheep are her absolute favourite and she spend her spare time caring for them. She has a Old English Sheepdog called "Sweetie Petey" who often comes for visits at the clinic. They're both lovely members of our team.

Garry is our cheeky clinic cat. He spends most of his days lying in the sun and exploring the clinic. Garry steals food off our sick hospital patients which often entices them to start eating. He is an essential worker.
